1) Unscrew the tip assembly (rollerball or nib), and remove the ink supply and the spring.
2) For our “Classic” pens, and our “Traditional” styles (Figures 1& 2) with the cap on the back, unscrew the extension piece and continue with step 4 below.

3) For the “Traditional” pens without the cap held on the back (Figure 3), insert the Shaft “A” through the threaded coupling of the pen body, until it butts up to the cap (Figure 4). Hold the barrel tightly in your fist while tapping on the end of the shaft with a hammer. Sharp forceful taps will dislodge the cap.

4) Twist the Cap Screw “C” into either of the threaded couplings. Insert the shaft into the opposite end of the barrel (Figure 5). Hold the barrel tightly in your fist while tapping on the end of the shaft with a hammer. Sharp forceful taps will dislodge the Cap Screw “C” with the threaded coupling. For the pens that hold the cap on the back, remove the threaded coupling from the Cap Screw “C” and repeat this procedure again to remove the second threaded coupling.
5) To complete the cap portion, if your pen has one, remove the white plastic retainer using the same process as when you originally built the pen. With the retainer removed, insert Plug “B” so that the screw end of the clip assembly fits into the hole. Insert

Shaft “A” into the cap body pushing up against the solid end of the plug (Figure 6). Hold the barrel tightly in your fist while tapping on the end of the shaft with a hammer. Sharp forceful taps will dislodge the cap/clip and the plug.
6) The remaining center band on certain pens still must be removed. Take one of the threaded couplings from step 4 and screw it into the center band. Next twist the Cap Screw “C” into the center band. Insert the shaft into the opposite end of the barrel (Figure 7). Hold the barrel tightly in your fist while tapping on the end of the shaft with a hammer. Sharp forceful taps will dislodge the Cap Screw with the center band and coupling.

Hold the barrel tightly in your fist while tapping on the end of the shaft with a hammer. Sharp forceful taps will dislodge the center coupling and the plug.

4) Now take the cap barrel, and insert the disassembly Shaft “A” through the center band of the pen cap, until it butts up to the clip/coupling assembly (Figure 11). Hold the barrel tightly in your fist while tapping on the end of the shaft with a hammer. Sharp forceful taps will dislodge the clip/coupling assembly.
